He would later established the \u201cOriginal Express\u201d company, one of the earliest Black-owned businesses operating in various forms at 4 Travers Block.<\/p>\n<p>He was the originator of the Bellevue Avenue Express Line which later extended to the Point and Broadway. During the Summer resort season, he also operated a baggage transfer business.
